Marat Berenstein started in music as assistant and tour manager for the legendary Art Garfunkel. In 2006, Marat launched Hit Me Music to help emerging artists license music for television, film, video games, and advertising. Marat was nominated for Billboard's 30 Under 30 list in 2011, and joined the faculty at The Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. In 2014, he formed The Marat Berenstein Company to manage talent, develop content, and invest in music education. Marat was nominated for The David Payne-Carter Award for distinguished teaching in 2018. After 7 transformative years, Marat left NYU to advocate for creator rights, develop content, and manage artists. In 2020, Marat joined Roon Labs as Head of Global Music Partnerships & Artist Relations.
