Sam Kronis was born on April 24, 1974 in South London and found himself at Croydon Youth Theatre Organisation, where he stayed for 5 years, performing in A View from the Bridge, The Elephant Man, Last of the Red Hot Lovers and Rope. After a period of odd jobs including working record shops, the Natural History Museum and Carpet Salesman, Sam co-wrote the children's book Octopus & Worm, wrote and performed in rock band Curer Bell then returned to acting by accident in Pirates of the Caribbean: Stranger Tides (2010). Since then he trained at the Actors Studio and RADA, has appeared as a press photographer in The Crown (2016), when he was compared to young Roger Allam by Jon Lithgow on the set, he played Heinrich Himmler in Len Deighton's SS-GB (2017). Playing the Tourist in the short sci-fi film OAK which won an award at the Philip K Dick film festival in New York. Recent work includes Amy: Lake Eerie Murders as Richard Folbert, for the Investigation Discovery channel, building supervisor in Wild Bill (BBC) and will be seen as Mr Mendel the Court Clerk in Steve McQueen's Small Axe: Mangrove.
