Jean Kartal is a Russian/Swedish award winning actor and athlete Jean was born in Moscow to a Russian mother and Turkish father. His family moved to Sweden when Jean was 5 years old in pursuit of better life conditions. Jean was mostly raised by his mother due to his father constantly traveling abroad for work. Jean is trilingual, speaking fluently in English, Swedish and Russian. From the age of 9 Jean found a big passion for basketball and at the age of 14 he was accepted into the basketball preparatory high school program in Stockholm where athletes are being prepared for further collegiate programs or pro leagues. After graduating high school Jean moved to Los Angeles in hopes of continuing his athletic career, however due to previous injures and physical therapy the interest for basketball diminished over time and not long after when Jean got accepted into college in California he stopped seeing any real future in basketball and was soon only studying academically, until he met a film director at a friends birthday party who was looking for a athlete to play a boxer in his upcoming film, He told Jean that he would be a good fit for the role and told him to sign up for acting class in preparation for the role. Jeans first acting coach was Aaron Speiser with whom he studied for about 6 months before being accepted into the Stella Adler Academy of Theatre In Los Angeles. He graduated in 2016. Thats also where Jean met his mentor, acting coach and good friend Milton justice with whom he works and prepares for many roles until this day. Jean has won the best Actor Award at (the Global Film Festival Awards) in 2018 for his portrayal of Charles in "Silent Love Stories" In 2015 Jean played the lead role of Ned Weeks in the Oscar winners Milton Justice production of "Destiny of me", Dir Milton Justice. In 2017 Jean got cast to play the role of Jesus in the drama film "Abigail". Dir, Vera Mikailenko. in 2018 he was cast as the lead in The Legend of Avatar Country, Dir, Johan Carlén in which he played the protagonist war general and was later recast for the Legend of Avatar Country film the following year.
