American actor Charles Philip Campuzano was born in Chicago, Illinois. His mother and father Norma and German Campuzano immigrated from Ecuador. Charles grew up in the Chicago area where he graduated from Wheeling High School. He attended Engineering School at Southern Illinois University but left sophomore year unsure about his direction. Looking for structure, he enlisted in the United States Air Force for four years. Afterwards, he continued his education and graduated from the school of Engineering at Wichita State University. He worked for number of years as an engineer in Southern California before meeting Colin Cox and Fran de Leon who sparked a long sleeping interest in acting. He had always been curious about acting in high school and college but never pursued it until those meetings. Shortly afterwards, he started training with Sonya Cooke at the Actor Studio of Orange County and began acting in student films and got his first role in an independent feature film The Tragedy of Jimmy Jimmy Kates (2017) with Carmen Espinoza.
