Ivory Shields is an artist whose body of work includes acting, modeling, writing, producing, hosting, and casting. Her most recent role, on Queen Sugar's season 6, is Ivory's very first recurring role on a major network television show. Ivory has appeared in co-star roles on several network television shows including, but not limited to Genius Aretha Franklin, Ambitions, Star, Love Is, The Quad, and If Loving You is Wrong. She's landed lead roles in multiple short films, two of which she co-wrote and co-produced. Ms. Shields can be seen in national and global SAG commercials including Dominos Pizza, State Farm, Mercedes Benz, Floor & Decor, GoldBond, Rooms To Go, Worker's Credit Union, and countless more. Another recent milestone includes landing principal roles in feature films such as, Home Safe and The Wedding Date Mix Up. Her debut as a film producer and casting associate began in 2017 when she had the opportunity to work alongside Mr. Akil DuPont, to create a web series entitled Po Psi Broke, that premiered at The Plaza Theatre in Atlanta. This project recently won award for "Best Web series" at the Charlotte Black Film Festival. Ivory was an executive producer of Season 1 of Pretty For A Big Gurl where she collaborated alongside the writer and creator, Ms. Courtney Lockett, to create relevant and thought provoking content for this highly anticipated dramedy about an unapologetically confident plus size woman. Her image has appeared in multiple print ads and she's graced catwalks for many fashion shows. Ivory has studied with some of the most influential teachers in the industry, including improv class at the famous Groundlings Improv Theatre in Los Angeles. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Speech Communications from Georgia State University and a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
