Asaf Schwartz is an Israeli-born filmmaker based in Tel-Aviv. Asaf started making films since high school, when he studied at the Alliance Film Department, directed his thesis film, Shelter (2009). After serving for three years in the Israeli Air Force Film Unit as a director and video editor, Asaf proceeded to study at The Steve Tisch School of Film and Television in Tel-Aviv university, where he has focused on directing and editing for fiction film and documentary. His B.A middle film, Dependency Test (2016), went on to participate at the 20th Shanghai International Film Festival (2017), as well as at the Berlin Student Film Festival (2017), and the Hyperion Film Festival in Bucharest (2016). In addition, he was the editor and the post production supervisor of the NYU thesis film, Leecher (2016), which was made by Yonatan Weinstein. Asaf has recently directed his second film, Omar (2017), which was made as part of his B.A. Omar went on to participate at the 34th Jerusalem Film Festival (2017), and nowadays being considered for majors festivals. Furthermore, Asaf works as an offline editor for TV commercials, promos and reality series.
