Lauren Ashley Cook (aka Valley Rich) was born in Mandeville, Louisiana, to Brad Cook (engineer, inventor) and Melanie Landrieu Cook (homemaker, counselor). Cook made it into talented theatre in 2nd grade and remained in the program through her senior year of high school. She then went on to study theatre performance at LSU where she graduated with a bachelor in Music and Dramatic Arts, and discovered her stage persona, Valley Rich. After college, she teamed up with Ghost of Elysian Films to co-produce and star in the company's first narrative feature "She Was Famous." This film is a mental health awareness project and has toured around the world in film festivals in which it sold out at the New Orleans Film Festival and LOYNO Film Festival. During that time, Valley Rich was awarded Best Actress at the Woods Hole Film Festival in Massachusetts.
