Isra has performed in award-winning, critically-acclaimed hits such as Heather Raffo's Noura at the Old Globe directed by Johanna McKeon and the thriller The Invaders (ALTER, Vimeo), for which she received a Best Lead Actress nomination at Southern States Indie Film Fest. The Invaders screened at over 30 film festivals in the US and internationally including the 2018 London Film Festival. Other credits include Arresting God (Diaspora Creative/Sundance Institute Development Track); Another Girl (Amazon Prime); Anne Frank in the Gaza, directed by Shaun Peknic (PCTF Outstanding Supporting Actress award); and LAByrinth Theatre Company's Barn Series and Installation America at Cherry Lane Theatre. Her TV work includes What Would You Do? (ABC), Mysteries at the Museum (Travel Channel), and Investigation Discovery. This is in addition to her voice-over work on the Emmy Award-winning children's animation series Super Wings. Commercial work includes among others Volvo, Unionen, Vasa Kronan, and 21 Henry st. Real state. She is a recipient of 24 Hour Plays: Nationals 2017 produced by Mark Armstrong and was a part of the 24 Hour Plays: Nationals 2020 selection panel. She has also performed in Red Ballon directed by Jessica Blank at The Lark. She has also performed in Parisian Blues Fantaisie, produced by Tony winner Mercedes Ellington, at the New York Friars Club. Isra is a graduate from Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute 2 Year Conservatory Program and has gone on to study at HB Studios and the Royal Shakespeare Company. Upon her graduation from Strasberg, she worked at the famed Actors Studio, and ESPA Primary stages (where she also performed as a part of the company).
