Chy Nwakanma

Chiagoziem Ugoeze Nwakanma, often referred to as Chy, was born December 19, 1990 in Abia State, Nigeria, to Nigerian parents, Eric Acho Nwakanma and Joy Ezinwanyi Nwakanma. At age 11, she moved to the United States of America. She is a graduate from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) with a BFA in Theatre Performance and a minor in Communication. Chiagoziem's stage credits include playing "Viola" in " The Twelfth Night" (UIC theatre), "Pecola" in "The Bluest Eye" (UIC Theatre) and "Kleopatra Maximovna" in "Dying for it" (UIC Theatre). She moved back to Nigeria in 2015 and that same year landed a lead role that launched her acting career in Nollywood. Chiagoziem made her television debut in Lowladee's TV series " This is it" (2016), where she played the role of a young, naive and clueless wife. Other TV credits include Africa magic (Mnet) hit series "Hustle" as "Lisa", "Life 101" on "Ebonylife TV" as June / Jules and "On the real" as "Salewa". In 2018, Chiagoziem made her cinema debut as "Kate" in the movie "Disguise"
