John Eisen is from St. Paul, MN and began acting on stage at the age of 11. In January 2017, now based in LA, he opened as Leontes in a six week run of William Shakespeare's "The Winter's Tale". The play received good reviews, and proved to be one of that company's most successful shows. Other LA theatre companies began reviving the play. Later in 2017, John played Vershinin in Anton Chekhov's "Three Sisters". A solid ensemble led the show to a successful five week run. The play did so well, in fact, that an extension was considered. In 2018, he did two short films on baby trafficking and illegal adoption, with the same story being shot on a VR camera and a regular camera. "Tiny Fingers" was nominated for Best VR Film at the FICMA Film Festival in Mexico City. It was released exclusively on Facebook on May 4th, 2020. After two weeks, it had over 1.2 million views. "Little Eyes" was accepted into 4 film festivals in India, and will be released in the US soon. At the end of 2018, John was offered the lead role in his first feature film "Free By Noon". The film was directed and written by Sundance Collab Screenwriting Fellow, Lakpathy Wijesekara. Shot in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, it will be released in a theater and then on to a streamer in 2021. Early in 2020 John sold a short story that he originally wrote in college, to a producer who is developing it into a romantic comedy. "Sexiest Man Alive" will begin filming in 2021, and is set in New York City and Vermont.
