Born and raised in Vancouver, Tessa Trach is a professional actor, dancer, singer, choreographer, sound designer and musician. She grew up doing musical theatre at the Lindbjerg Academy of Performing Arts. She spent everyday after school involved in community shows and her first big role was "Marta" in The Sound of Music at the age of seven. Tessa holds a Diploma in Acting from Studio 58, a Diploma in Music majoring in Classical Voice and a Bachelor's of Performing Arts. During her studies at Studio 58, she has performed in many play premieres' by well known playwrights including, George F. Walker, Dave Deveau, Jonathon Young, Peter Anderson and David Hudgins. Tessa has performed all over British Columbia for music, dance and theatre, including playing Marty in a four month run of Grease at Chemainus Theatre Festival. This winter, she performed in a five-person adaptation of A Christmas Carol at the Banff Springs Hotel. Her music training led her to Italy where she sang Italian choral music in iconic buildings such as the Pantheon and St. Marks Basilica. Tessa has been featured in many Vancouver bands music videos. You can see her as The Zola's Strange Girl, Greg Drummond's babysitter in Our Time is Now and a party girl in Jasper Sloan Yip's In The Living Room. Tessa has been working as a choreographer for the past couple years which Gallery 7 Theatre, Studio 58 and Kay Meek, where she worked on Beauty and the Beast, Peter and the Starcatcher, Retail: the musical and Shrek Jr. She has also added Sound Design to her list of credits and has already worked with Resonance Theatre, Alley Theatre, Sticks and Stones Theatre, Stone's Throw Productions and Gallery 7 Theatre. Tessa's special skills include: singing, guitar, piano, ukulele, equestrian and mime. She is also a technically trained dancer in ballet, pointe, jazz and tap. She has performed these skills in many different settings, like Romeo + Juliet, lacrosse games and Disneyland. She has been teaching musical theatre, dance, singing and acting all over the lower mainland at companies and schools including Gateway Theatre, Lights Up, Richmond Star, Lindbjerg Academy, and Vancouver Performing Stars. Tessa will be in Rock of Ages with Renegade Arts Company.
