Amanda Spangler was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina but was raised all around the United States including Michigan, Arizona, and Texas. From an early age, she loved writing out stories, plays, and films. Though she has written for all genres, her very first noted work was a short horror story in the second grade. At that moment, she knew she had found her niche. Growing up, she worked in many aspects of theatre including acting, singing, directing, producing, and working crew. Before moving to Overton, Texas in high school, Amanda had never been to the "south," but quickly found it to be the life behind many of her screenplays. She received her Associate's Degree from Panola College in Carthage, Texas as well as attended the University of Texas at Tyler, both heavily involved in theatre and music. Amanda is a board member at Tyler Civic Theatre in Tyler, Texas and assists with productions all around East Texas in theatre and film. The zombie comedy (or "zombidy") short, "Dead on Set," was directed and written by her.
