Ricardo Silva Ortega began his career in film in 2011, performing in the short film "Homophobia" by director Al Zaher, with whom he created a great friendship and dumbbell that has lasted until now participating in the short films "La Otra Mejilla" as an actor and make-up artist, "The origin of all time", "Sorry", "Moral Lessons" y "Lovers" as Producer. Although he started as an actor, he quickly found his passion in production. He has participated as a producer or production assistant in 33 short films and as a producer on set in the video home "Hero or Villain: The Ondeado", he has also developed as Director of Photography in 6 projects that are in post production. As a writer he has two short films "The Coctel" y "Apología" which won a third place in the transparency contest of the Guanajuatense Youth Institute (INJUG). As Director he directed an experimental video dance "Insight". Now he has also dedicated to the distribution of several short films among them "Sorry" which has been selected at the Mixx Festival in Mexico City, being screened at the National Cineteca, and was part of the Guanajuato Selection at the Guanajuato Internacional Film Festival (GIFF), and in the OUTFEST 2017 en Perú; y "Pequeña Lilith" of which he is also a Producer, winning the category "Best Mexican Short Film" at the CINETEKTON Film and Architecture Festival in Puebla. In 2017 Wrote and Directed his first short film "Reencuentro" in Valparaíso Chile. In 2019 Wrote and Direted "I want to be Drag Queen" in León Guanajuato. Since 2013 he has been part of the Cine Colectivo Guanajuato, and member of the organizing committee of the LabKinoRoom "Laboratorio de Realización Cinematográfica", which this year will have two editions plus one in the city of Guanajuato with the UG and another one in Valparaiso Chile in collaboration with Kinomada y Fesancort.. He has course photography courses for cinema by CEARG and CNA, multimedia tools for audiovisual creation, and film script taught by the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC) and CEARG. Diploma in documentary filmmaking from the Virtual Documentary University (UVD), he course "Film production workshop" taught by Pablo Baksht Segovia of the Morelia International Film Festival,
