Alina Lapteva was born on Sakhalin Island, Russia, in 1987, and later, when she turned seven, she moved with her family to Ufa. In Ufa, she became a Champion of Russia in Speed Skating and finished school. Early in school, it was evident that Alina was passionate about the arts. She participated in her school's theatre productions, singing performances, folklore classes, choir and used every chance to be on stage. When we turned 17 she moved to Canada as an international student and chose to study Theatre in Toronto going against her previous plans to study business. To her disappointment, she wasn't among the 14 students chosen to continue the acting conservatory in the second year of the university, and Alina continued her studies in the production. In the meantime, Alina started her modeling career and continued to take acting classes outside of the university. Alina has participated in three beauty pageants in Canada and Israel, one of which she hosted. After university, Alina got a modeling contract to work in Hong Kong. In 2010, after her modeling contracts Alina started to explore herself as an entrepreneur starting different businesses from Personal Training, Nutrition, Catering, to Property Management and Cleaning businesses. During this time she got married and became a mother to Sofia Normuradova. In 2017 Alina separated from her husband and decided to come back to Film. She started to take acting classes again and participate in local productions. She realized back then that she can use her entrepreneurial skills again to create her own projects. Besides acting in short films and feature films, she also gained some experience behind the camera as a first assistant director and associate producer as well as other areas such as wardrobe, production design, casting, location scouting, and more. Around the same time, she started to work on writing her first scripts. In 2020, Alina began working on two of her own projects, the reality web-series "Game Changer", and the feature film called "Natasha".
