Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, but raised in the countryside of Jalisco, Elizabeth grew up loving nature and the hustle lifestyle of the city. Her introverted nature made her fall in love with books and get lost in the silence born in the middle of the woods. Elizabeth started writing since she was 8 years old. She used to write tales that translated the living fantasies out of her vivid imagination. Soto-Lara found in writing an escape from reality. Art became the only way to calm the emotional revolution fluttering inside her. Elizabeth got a B.A. in Communications and TV Production by UVM (Guadalajara Campus), a One Year Screenwriting Certificate imparted by Guillermo Arriaga (Amores Perros, 21 Grams, Babel) and a Master in Arts by the prestigious New York Film Academy (NYFA) in Los Angeles Campus. Soto-Lara has been working in the industry for more than 5 and built a portfolio that includes three feature films and more than 40 short films, TV Series and Ads within Los Angeles, Mexico and Costa Rica.
