Kifayat Rodani born in the remote village of Gidar, District Qilat, Balochistan, the largest province of Pakistan in terms of area. His father was a religious scholar and Imam of the Masjid. Kifayat took his early education from his father in a Madrasa. His father was the Imam of Masjid, so he travelled with him to the different villages and rural areas. Then his family settled permanently at their ancestral village Gidar-Shorai, near Govt. Agricultural Farm. He was sent to District Khuzdar for the studies, far away from his home. After been taught in different Madrasas for few years, at the age of 14, he gave up his studies and rebelled. Not only Madrasas but he left home also. He worked as a laborer in different areas of Hub and Karachi. In this stage of life, he worked hard and switched different occupations on and off i.e. Dyer, Glass-Worker, Barber, etc. He spent his life's most precious four years playing those different characters to earn. After that he returned to his home and got married at the age of 22. Then he learned tailoring and opened his own Tailor Shop in the Khuzdar city. At that time he could not had any proper schooling but yet he started to read the Urdu Literature while working as a Tailor. He also took interest in Social Work and worked as a volunteer with the different NGOs. During that time, he became the father of four children, a son and three daughters. By putting the continuous efforts to study literature, the art of story writing attracted him. In 1996, he became the student of the Pakistan Television's renowned Drama Writer Dr. Taj Raisani. During this learning period, he connected with the Quetta Television Centre. With the generous help of Mr. Atta-Ullah Baloch, Drama Producer and Director of PTV, he started to write stories and also acted in different regional and Urdu plays, among those NAA KHUDA and SHAB-GARD are prominent. Meanwhile, he kept writing stories and concepts and showed those to different drama directors, but due to the lack of craft and technical expertise his stories were not able to be dramatized. But he never stopped his pen and for four years he learned the craft of writing for television from Drama Writer Dr. Taj Raisani and Drama Producer Atta-Ullah Baloch. In 2003, Kifayat with his wife and children migrated to Karachi to start the career as a Drama Writer. Being the only bread runner of his family, he worked as a Tailor in Saddar Market, Karachi also. But at the same time, he continued to learn from Atta-Ullah Baloch, Drama Director of Karachi Television Centre. During that struggling period, he worked as an Assistant Director in two Drama Serials and few Long Plays. 01-08-2004 was the remarkable day in his life. At that day, his debut TV Drama "Bikharney Se Pehlay" went on air as a Writer from the Karachi TV Centre and highly acclaimed by the viewers. In the same month, on 09-08-2004, Kifayat blessed with the fifth child, a baby boy. After the remarkable success of "Bikharney Se Pehlay", his another famous serial "Sadori" broadcasted on PTV. "Sadori" was also nominated for the Lux Style Award in 2007. That success made him so much popular as a writer and he was then contacted by various TV Channels. Then, Kifayat never looked back and one after another there was the continuous series of his Dramas and Soaps went on air at different TV channels. "Kaash Mein Teri Beti Na Hoti", "Sadori", "My Dear Sotan", "Aas", "Maala", "Aesa Bhi Hota Hai", "Pal Bhar Mein", "Mi Raqsam", "Ranj-e-Aashnayi", "Mann Ke Moti", "Do Qadam Door They" etc, were the prominent hit dramas written by Kifayat Rodani. His Drama Serial "Pal Bhar Mein" was nominated in the 10th Lux Style Award 2011 for the Best Drama category. Famous Actor/Director Javed Sheikh was awarded the Best Actor Award for Kifayat's Drama "Pal Bhar Mein". He was also nominated for the Best Drama Writer for his drama "Aas" at PTV Awards in 2012. His tele-film "Aamail" was also nominated in Dehli Film Festival, India. His recent drama serial "Do Qadam Door They" got the highest TRPs in the history of Pakistani Dramas and smashed all the previous highest TRPs records. Kifayat's constant struggle and impressive success placed him among the Best Drama Writers of the Pakistan. His journey as a Writer is not yet finished and his pen is still pregnant with the words.
