Balmiki Pokhrel

Balmiki Pokhrel was born in Nepal. He is attending Graduate School in Film/Video at University of Texas at Arlington. He started his film career as Production Manager, when he was 23. Telling stories using Audio-Visual medium via Film making is his passion. He believes in authentic real life stories rather than fantasies because he believes that although Film making on authentic stories seem simple, it holds a great impact in audience. Travelling through one part of the world to another while going through different culture and meeting different people have always been his subject of interest. He works in banking all those stories about existence, innocence of life, social cultural issues and present them on screen. His ideas are mostly based on the minor events, their impacts in bigger canvas while focusing on unity with diversity. Presenting simple Story, character and their living in that minor setting is his strongest part that he advocates in his film making process.
