Rafy Ibrahim (born July 26) in Cairo Egypt, is an Egyptian - American actor. He starred as the lead role in I Self (2021) and co-starred in The Cost (2017), both films premiered at Cannes Film Festival. He also co-starred in 5150 (2018) as Mark. Rafy received Best Actor in his role as King Aghnatious in "I Want to Die" (2009-2010). He created his own Acting Group "Nazra" in 2008 and performed in major theaters across Cairo and Alexandria, Egypt. He is known for his role as Ernie in Sesame Street (2006-2011), the live-action and puppet-based children's television show. He acted as a supporting role in some films presented at Berlin and Barcelona Film Festivals. Rafy Ibrahim is currently based in Los Angeles, California. He immigrated to the United States in 2012 from Egypt with his family. Rafy got his Bachelor's degree in Theatre from The High Institute of Art and Theater in Egypt in 2010 and received his Master's Degree in Acting for film from New York Film Academy in Los Angeles in 2018. Rafy speaks Arabic, English & French. He was born and raised in an Egyptian Coptic Orthodox family.
