Rowan Bohnet took an acting class when she was 8, and was hooked. When she missed her chance to be in the school's play the next year, she decided to start writing a story that she could film, instead. What started as a small writing assignment became a feature length film, Josephine's Demon. Rowan developed the story of Josephine's Demon with her dad, Stephen, who turned the story into a screenplay. Rowan originally only intended to play the part of Josephine, so that she could co-direct the film. She was talked into adding the part of Rose, one of the five lead parts in the film.
