Joseph A. Olivera is an American screenwriter, director, and producer. One of four children, he was raised in a Northwest suburb of Chicago. He started his career in 2004, attending Chicago's famous The Second City e.t.c., where he learned the fundamentals of improv and acting before moving to California to attend the New York Film Academy. His additional training extended to Piven Theatre in Evanston, Ill., and The Illinois Institute of Art-Schaumburg, from which he graduated with a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Visual Effects and Motion Graphics in 2011. You might recognize Joseph from his appearance in LG Electronics home appliance videos and season 1 of the serial drama Prison Break, but he is best known for "Indemnify," his short film entry submitted for the HBO series Project Greenlight in 2014. Even though "Indemnify" did not win, his team proudly produced the short in less than three weeks on a budget of only $300. Joseph has produced marketing campaign materials, commercials, and training videos for businesses in and around the Chicagoland area for the past decade and currently writes, directs, and produces for a Fortune 500 company.
