Ashley Long's leading performance in Mockingbird, written by Julie Jensen, earned her the Jack Nicholson Award endowed by Jack Nicholson himself and the University of Southern California as Most Outstanding Actor. She was born on January 22, 1997, in Los Angeles and spent her childhood living in Texas. Long appeared as the lead performance in the award-winning short film Backpedals, which screened at the 2018 Festival de Cannes in the Court Métrage and was a finalist in the 2018 Horizon Awards at the Sundance Film Festival. She graduated from USC School of Dramatic Arts this past May. Long just performed in New York at the Powerhouse Theatre in their competitive and prestigious theatre company. Meryl Streep describes performing at the Powerhouse Theatre as a place to give "artists the freedom to truly experiment..." Long is also a writer and singer/songwriter.
