Eva Müller

Eva Müller studied history, linguistics and public law in Tübingen and Marseille. She volunteered at Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) in Cologne. From 2005 on she worked as an author and director, first for the ARD political magazine 'Monitor', then for the WDR / ARD documentary-team 'Die Story' and 'Current Documentation'. From 2006 on she realized over 20 documentaries as a writer and director for ARD (45min / 90min). For her films she was awarded the Deutscher Fernsehpreis, the CNN Award "Journalist of the Year", the Hanns Joachim Friedrichs Preis and the Grimme Preis. Her non-fiction books 'Gott hat hohe Nebenkosten' (2013) and 'Richter Gottes' (2016) were bestsellers. Since 2017 she has been leading the btf / WDR / ARD documentary project 'docupy', whose documentaries (Ungleichland, Heimatland, Neuland) can also be seen on Netflix. She works also as lecturer in the training of WDR volunteers and at the Ludwigsburg Film Academy.
