Lu Chagas

Lu Chagas was born in the Brazilian capital, Brasília, she grows up in Campo Grande/MS, and now a days she lives in Campinas/SP. Daughter of Francisco de Lagos and Neide Maria de Barros Chagas, she is the firstborn of four children. She married in 2003, and her daughter Beatriz was born in the next year. The marriage ended in 2011. She's, since 2017, in a solid relationship with actor Pedro Pauleey. In 1995, she graduated in Physiotherapy, specializing in the respiratory area. She worked in this area until 2007. During this period she began to dedicate herself to an acting career. In mid-2017 she started doing work in different areas of production (costume designer, direction and assistant art,...), in independent cinema. She's an actress: television, commercial and cinema; works as a presenter; voice producer and artist. In artistic training she took acting courses of TV and cinema. She prepared herself as a presenter for the Brazilian Association of Presenters. She studied at the Up Voice dubbing house. Lu Chagas is in constant learning, conducting courses and workshops to improve both: performance and production's areas. In the commercial market Lu has several jobs. On Tv, acted in dramaturgies for Tv Século 21. She participated in the 1st episode of the series A Irmandade, from Netflix. In 2020 she acted in Residência Médica series - Medical Residency series. As a voice artist she has done voice acting as well as voice overs for various companies. Passionate about the Seventh Art, she acted, among others, in the films: Pecado Vermelho- Red Sin; Posso te Beijar? - May I Kiss You?; Gatilhos - Triggers; in the science fiction feature 32 Pomona; in the documentary that talks about rape, O Oposto do Mal é o Belo - The Opposite of Evil is the Beauty, by Ronaldo Santiago. Highlight for her performance as protagonist in Recorrências - Recurrences; Luci; Por Detrás dos Seus Olhos - Behind your Eyes and Esperança de Natal - Christmas Hope, wich is in post production. She made a participation in O Segundo Homem - The Second Man, feature by Thiago Luciano - which is about to debut, and has in the cast Lucy Ramos, Anderson Di Rizzi, Wolf Maya and others. Recently, she was invited to the cast of the film O Ar Que A Gente Respira - Every Breath We Take, with recording forecast for 2022. She is equally enthusiastic about production. "Producing, and mainly, independently is like gestating a baby. It starts with you, and then takes on a life of its own. It is an immense satisfaction to be part of making it happen". She has done casting production, art direction and costume design for Pearson Educacional and Colorgin/Sherwim Williams projects, and has also been casting for TV Século 21 and Base3 agency. In the cinema she has works as a costume designer; art direction and assistance. She assumed the production direction of the feature Sophia and production assistance in the documentary that deals with the theme bullying - Perto Demais by Vanessa Rodrigues. Despite the stagnation in the audiovisual market due to the CoVID19 pandemic, it started the year 2021 with the recording-acting and producing, A Maquiadora - A Special Makeup, and reCONSTRUÇÃO - reCONSTRUCTION - in this one occupying just technical functions. Both released. Currently she has also been working on the planning for the feature O Ar Que A Gente Respira - Every Breath We Take, by director Rafael Santin, with whom she worked in Sophia and which will soon go into pre production.
