Franco Dante Maicas is an American actor who was born in New Jersey. He is of Italian and Cuban descent. A self-proclaimed old soul, Franco was mesmerized by the great actors and films that came before him, claiming that his first love was simply film-making. At the age of 13, he began commuting to Manhattan on the weekends to attend classes at The Barrow Group, an award winning training center and theatre company. On his very first day, his acting instructor immediately noticed his talent and took him under his wing. He then continued his training at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. In 2020, Franco was cast as the lead 'Justin' in his first feature film, The Zombie Club. Filming took place in West Virginia and after wrapping, he decided to leave school early to focus on his career full time. Franco will next be seen in Ray Romano's upcoming directorial debut, Somewhere in Queens, playing Sebastian Maniscalco's son. The film includes an ensemble cast of Romano, Maniscalco, Laurie Metcalf, Tony Lo Bianco, June Gable, Jennifer Esposito and many more. Franco recently wrapped filming in Staten Island, New York for Jennifer Esposito's upcoming directorial debut, Fresh Kills, where he plays the role of 'Frankie.' The film is in post-production.
