Morgan McKinley is a University of Central Florida alumni who hasn't always had a passion for horror movies. In 2005, she tried to watch Signs, but could barely get past the introduction without being scared. Things changed her freshman year of high school when she watched Halloween (1978) for the first time and fell in love with the genre. Morgan has a passion for horror because the genre allows so much room for creativity. Horror began as a very low budget, DIY genre where filmmakers let their innovative minds run wild. They were able to create something unique and invoke an experience for the audience like nothing that has ever been done before. A few other films that inspire Morgan are The Shining, Black Narcissus, The Exorcist, Broadcast News, Boogie Nights, and Death Proof.
