Clara Maria Matos is a Brazilian film, TV and theatre actress. Born in Brasília.Clara started her acting training in high school while she attends regular classes. Theater was always her first option for college. In 2018, she graduated in Performing Arts at University of Brasília. In the same year, she was cast for a lead role in a feature film for her very first time. The film is named Impetus Theory (2019) and was directed by Rafael Moura e Marcelo Faria. Even before graduating, she has been fully committed to her acting career, participating in several theatrical and audiovisual productions. As a writer, Clara saw an opportunity to tell her stories through movies, so she went to International Film and Television School in Cuba to study film directing. Meanwhile, she made her way into cinema working on local productions. So far, she has worked in ten short films and music videos. The most recent ones are Afeto (2020), directed by Fabio Setti, Sangue Nordestino (2018), by Tiago Aragão and Paredes Clandestinas (2018), by Ana Carolina Nicolau. The last works for theater were both musical: Estrada sem Mapa (2019), directed by Silvero Pereira e Deu Trelele na Família S.A. (2017), starred by Clara and directed by Catarina Accioly and William Ferreira.
