Katie McKay was born February 11, 1993 in Saint John, New Brunswick, to Corey and Maria McKay. She has two older brothers, Keaton and Brian, and has Scottish and Irish ancestry. Katie moved to Calgary in 2012 but it wasn't until 2017 that she decided to finally pursue her passion for for acting. She immediately landed a reoccurring role as the background featured waitress on CBC's Heartland (Season 11), then a full time crew gig on TBS's comedy The Detour (Season 3). Katie got her first speaking role on a feature film called "From Hell, with Love' (2018), where she portrayed Helen of Troy. Her latest gig has been taking on a lead role in a Calgary short called "The Damaged".
