Donny performed in school plays and musicals, night clubs, churches and community events from the time he was a child. His entire family performed luaus for many years throughout the Western United States. He plays guitar and ukulele. Donny went to college in Laie, Hawaii, where he performed nightly at the Polynesian Cultural Center for a number of years before returning to the Mainland. He served as a deputy Sheriff and a Chief of Police for a time, all the while performing in night clubs, luaus and numerous church events. His four children were also professional performers and dancers, and now his grandchildren are highly skilled in musical instruments as well.
