Matthew Timoszyk

Matthew has been a professional Lighting Designer and Technician in the entertainment and event industry for 30 years. Matthew received his formal theatre education at Olivet College in Olivet, MI where he was awarded a technical theatre scholarship. Matthew worked for Sacramento Theatrical Lighting (STL) for 8 years as the 'Special Projects Manager' working with and in such companies and theatres as California Musical Theatre, Music Circus, Sacramento Ballet, Sacramento Opera, Wells Fargo Pavilion, Sleep Train Arena, Memorial Auditorium, Sacramento Community Center Theatre, Sacramento Convention Center, Cal Expo, Mondavi Center, Gallo Center for the Arts, the Bob Hope Theatre and many more in the Northern California region. While working for STL Matthew was the Lighting Designer for the Bibleman U.S. Tour and work with many other national tour groups: Bill Graham Presents, Morpheus, Feld Entertainment, Barnum and Bailey Circus, Disney on Ice, etc. Matthew and his wife Robin own and operate Garage Studio Production Services a full service production and event company in Yuba City. Garage Studio Production Services works with companies such as BP Productions, Monkey Glue Lighting, DB Grip Services, Extreme Productions, Exquisite Entertainment and many more. Matthew has been the Resident Technical Director for the Faith Christian Players going on his 20th season. Matthew is a Professional member of the Education Theatre Association (International Thespian Society). Matthew is a two time recipient of SARTA's 'Elly' award for 'Best Lighting Design' and has received many other 'Elly' nominations and accolades from other organizations. Matthew has been married to his wife Robin for 15 years and has one daughter Serena who is a freshman at the University of Nevada at Reno.
