Matthew Gerrish was born and raised on the northeastern coast of Massachusetts. As he grew up, he developed a love for film. That took him to Emerson College where he graduated with a degree in video media arts. In 2015, he moved to New York City and started classes at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. In his two years at the institute, he studied under Geoffrey Horne, Robert Ellermann, and Irma Sandrey. Now, finally out of school, Matthew has worked several projects with fellow filmmakers and has been auditioning throughout New York City for both film and theatre pieces.
