Janetta Davis has been acting, primarily in theater since 1979. As a former Resident Company Member of Contemporary American Theater Company, Janetta fulfilled a career goal of becoming a resident actor in a repertory company, while performing numerous roles. Janetta especially enjoyed her stay in NYC while performing Ha! Ha! Club, her year at the Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, her guest artist gigs at universities and regional theaters. As an Equity actor Janetta has performed in over 100 roles and directed over 55 productions. She was trained in the Professional Actor Training Program at Ohio University and Indiana University of PA. At the Milwaukee Rep she spent 6 weeks training with Julie Taymor and that experience forever changed her process of character creation. She is enjoying restarting film work after a long hiatus. She is the Theater Program Coordinator at Columbus School for Girls, and has been teaching acting courses to the young and old in the community.
