Kasun Aravinda

Born in Sri Lanka, I moved to the UK in 2010 in eager pursuit of my dream to become a Film Director. The only child of two medical professionals with aspirations of me following in their footsteps, while my parents were busy working, I immersed myself in the glorious world of film. Fascinated by motion picture, I felt that whatever was happening inside of the TV, was much more interesting than what was going on around me in real life. After seeing my first film at the cinema, Octopus, I was resolute that I was going to be a filmmaker! I started staging scenes with my cousins and 'recording' them using a cricket bat over my shoulder as a camera. On getting my first computer and discovering Windows Movie Maker, I began mixing and editing content, fascinating friends and family with the quality of my productions. Inspired by the Russo Brothers, I completed a BSc in Film & Television Production with the University of Greenwich, graduating with honours and directing the pilot film IMMINENT starring Mike Beckingham for my final year project with the hope of making it into a feature film. An imaginative storyteller, I have both vision and commercial focus. I excel in both the creative elements of the film making process, as well as the business side, shaping financially viable features that captivate the audience. Starting off as a Hospitality Assistant and after working on several projects as Casting Assistant, Line Producer and Director, I set up my own production company, RealLies Entertainment with the aim to produce content and facilitate film production, with ENIGMA being it's first creation. I am now actively looking for a producer to produce my first feature-length film, incorporating flamboyant sets, car chases, mega star casts, thrilling action scenes, engaging storylines, and sophisticated performances.
