Kate Kennedy

Kate is a seasoned business executive, writer and producer focused on the creation, development and production of live action films and television series. She blends her business smarts from 15 years in corporate and agency management with the show biz sparks she's garnered from working as a writer-performer in NYC and LA. Kate's career started in New York City at William Morris and ICM, before landing a job in development at Microsoft Multimedia Productions (M3P) -- a division created to develop and purchase proprietary entertainment content from independent producers for the Microsoft Network (MSN). Kate later transitioned into marketing and publicity at Edelman PR where she managed consumer entertainment accounts including Absolut Vodka, Alloy Entertainment, Barnes&Noble.com and Xbox among many others. Since relocating to the West Coast in 2003, she has worked as an entrepreneur creating, launching, growing, and successfully exiting two businesses. In 2016, she sold Nurish.com and returned to entertainment full-time. Her producing credits include: "1440 and Counting" (Loretta Devine), "Neighbor" (Jeremy Ray Valdez), "Yours to Bury" (Gerrison Machado), "A Kid and His Panda" (Sage Correa and Andrew Allan James). She is currently in development on "Montauk" (Marisa Tomei and Chris Messina) and "Where the Wild Horses Are" (Lionsgate), as well as the writer-creator of "Soiled Dove" a female-driven western and "PLUS" a TV Show based on her life and times as a 1990s plus-size fashion model. She's the mother of two and active in various children's non-profits including No Child Hungry, A Sense of Home, To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA) and World Vision.
