María Teresa Paniagua Arteta was a zarzuela soprano very famous in the decades of the 50s and 60s. She was born in Zaragoza (Spain). The singer, who gave life to the greatest characters in the Spanish lyrical repertoire, was a couple of the late theater impresario Ricardo Arribas, with whom he performed zarzuela seasons throughout Spain. She played zarzuelas as "Gigantes y cabezudos", "Luisa Fernanda", "La alegría de la huerta", "La revoltosa" or "La verbena de la Paloma".
