Antoine Doukravets

Antoine was born in Alma-Ata, the biggest city of Kazakh USSR, which later became known as Almaty, the first capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Although he spent most of his childhood in his hometown, he then moved to Rennes, France, due to one half of his family hailing from that French region, and feels that it was eventually his French side which shaped him into the man he is today. He enrolled and graduated from the Université de Rennes 2, majoring in English Studies, as his family wanted him to have a more or less stable line of work, but it was during his student years - and especially his life in Scotland around the same time - that he couldn't resist the true calling and embraced the acting path. Since then he pursued both theatre and film careers, and accepted an offer from the German State Theatre of Kazakhstan to become a member of their theatre company, thus leading him back to Almaty.
