Angela McKenzie is a Canadian-American actress, singer-songwriter and broadcast journalist who's been featured at live music venues like the World Famous Apollo Theater and B.B. King Blues Club in New York City. The LA Dodgers, New York Mets and New York Islanders have invited her to sing both the USA and Canadian national anthems for their games and she's sung at occasions for the United Nations and His Holiness the Dalai Lama's Tibet Fund. Her nationally syndicated radio show Initiative Radio with Angela McKenzie which aired on outlets of National Public Radio and Pacifica Radio networks, earned her the Peter Jennings Project Fellowship for Journalists and the US Constitution. Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz recognized the second anniversary of the program by issuing a Proclamation declaring 2nd September 2008 Initiative Radio Day for Positive Action. In 2015 McKenzie wrapped Initiative Radio and began acting in television shows shot in New York City.
