Víctor Alejandro Pérez Sánchez (Alex Pérez) was born on 10 March 1997 in Mexico City. At the age of 11 he began his artistic training at Ikalli School of Music, where he studied professional guitar and singing for 5 and 2 years respectively. He studied Communication and Digital Media at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, Mexico City Campus, where he has been recognized for his participation in various academic productions, mainly as a director and scriptwriter. Professionally, he has participated as director of photography, editor and producer in different short films, web series, video clips and commercials for brands such as JBL, Parque Bicentenario, Ikalli School of Music and Azaro. He has also worked as assistant director, camera operator and sound designer/sound designer on many productions for the Cinema Rojo studio and the Altrafilmica film school at Estudios Churubusco. He is the founder and director of Los 8 Films, an emerging Mexican production company with which he has developed several film and video projects, the most outstanding being Lui: An Improvised Life (2021) [Feature] The Director (2019) [Short] and The "Mundiales" of Mexico (2018), a short film produced in conjunction with Ednica I.A.P., an institution that works with street children.
