Kieran Thomas Bird is a neo-regionalist and social realist writer from Wolverhampton, England. After training at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, he acted in Daniel Evans' revival of Alan Bennett's Forty Years On at Chichester Festival Theatre (2017), at Pitlochry Festival Theatre, and in Robin Hooper's Foul Pages at The Hope Theatre, London, under the name Thomas Bird. The Bee-eaters (2020) is Bird's debut feature as a writer and director, and is currently being distributed in North America with Synergetic Films; and his second feature, Sweetly It Turns, starring Ruth Sheen and Richard Wilson, is currently in pre-production.
