Ourdia Hodge

Ourdia Hodge was born, and grew up, in France. She is the daughter of Algerian parents and the oldest of twelve children. In 2001, she moved to the United States. Ourdia is a comedy and romantic-comedy writer who studied screenwriting through the UCLA Professional Screenwriting Program and ScreenwritingU. Her screenplays have placed in several competitions (Austin Film Festival, StoryPros International, Emerging Screenwriters, Stage 32, A Film Writer, Get It Made). One of them won the Grand Prize in Comedy in the Screenplay Festival competition. Ourdia loves to push the envelope in her scripts, and believes that comedy is a powerful and effective medium to tackle serious issues without being soap-boxy. Her career goal is to write, produce and direct entertaining and uplifting content. "You Wish" is her directorial debut, and is based on one of her feature scripts.
