River Dan Rugaju is a Ugandan professional teacher of French turned professional actor; and is known for the multi-award winning Ugandan Television Series Yat Madit (NTV Uganda 2016) in which he plays OJANGOLE. He also stars alongside James Bond Spectre's Marc Zinga, in La Miséricorde de la Jungle, by the Belgian film company Neon Rouge. Rugaju performed at the 2017 edition of Theatre in the Park, Harare Zimbabwe, in BLOOD - Adong L. Judith's published modern day impression of the classic African American playwright Lorraine Hansberry's Les Blancs, a play in which he plays the White American Cop and White American Journalist. Rugaju, a Makerere University graduate with BA Education - French, now prefers to teach the language under private tuition, to allow him adequate time to translate his passion for acting and performing into a solid career, as a professional artiste.
