Gideon Watson

Gideon Watson was born on June 15, 1992 in Yangon, Myanmar (formally known as Burma). He arrived in the United States at the age of 12 and spent his teenage years in Fayetteville, North Carolina. After joining the US Army in 2012, Gideon began documenting stories of fellow soldiers and developed an interest in visual storytelling. His work was quickly noticed by the community which prompted his interest to pursue a career in Cinematography. In April of 2016, Gideon completed his service in the military and attended the Los Angeles Film School where he graduated with highest honors to receive a Bachelor of Science in Film Production. Gideon is an active member of Veterans in Media and Entertainment (VME) and the Society of Camera Operators (SOC). Gideon resides in Los Angeles freelancing as Camera Operator, Camera Assistant, and G&E.
