Shai Frumkin

Shai Frumkin is an Actress and Writer based in New York City. Originally from Tel Aviv, Israel, she served two years in the Israel Defense Force. As a musician, she has been playing Flute and Piccolo in Europe, Israel, and the USA. She graduated from the Two Year Conservatory Program at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, NYC, where she was the Vincent D'Onofrio Scholarship award winner. Her short film, Crush, which she co-wrote, co-produced, and starred in, went to the Hip Hop Film Festival (NYC), Festival De Cannes - Court Metrage (France), Chelsea Film Festival (NYC), The Collaborative Film Festival (LA), Picture's Up! Film Festival (LA), Oakville Film Festival (Canada), Boulevard Film Festival (NYC), Lift-Off Sessions (UK), First-Time Filmmakers (UK), and Strasberg Film Festival (NYC). For the latter, she won the award of Best Actress in a Leading Role. The film also won the awards of Best of Fest, Best Director, and Best Actor in a Leading Role. She recently wrapped filming on Dream State, a short film she wrote, starred in, and co-produced.
