Kandace Cornell

Kandace Cornell is a prolific and accomplished screenwriter and director. In 2018 she made her directorial debut with her award-winning short film, THE JUST (starring Sean Patrick Small of HBO's smash hit series, Winning Time). Since premiering at the LA Live Film Festival at Regal Cinemas in DTLA, where it was nominated for five awards--including Best Short Film, Best Director, Best Screenwriter, Best Actor, and Best Supporting Actor--the film has been celebrated internationally, with many outstanding awards, including several Best Director wins for Cornell. Cornell has many years of TV experience on the executive side at Sony Pictures, and in Original Programming & Development at Crackle--Sony's premiere streaming platform. She has worked in TV and film development for notable producers, including Brett Ratner's RatPac Entertainment, and Lynda Obst's Lynda Obst Productions. She has a Masters degree in Journalism from Emerson College and graduated from the UCLA Writers Program in Film & Television Screenwriting. She currently resides in Los Angeles, and is shopping several film and television projects.
