Gracie Marcellus's love of storytelling led her to pursue a career as a Screenwriter in the Film & Television Industry. She graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy (IAA) as a high school Motion Picture Arts (MPA) major. Her senior thesis short film "Elevated" garnered recognition at multiple film festivals. She also won an Honorable Mention award for her screenplay "Bubble Gum" at the 2020 HS 48 Short Script Project competition during quarantine. Students from across the United States and around the world created a short script in only 48 hours. The judging panel was led by Sharon Y. Cobb, Hollywood screenwriter and member of the Writers Guild of America. In May 2019, she received "The Golden Grip Award" for her work ethic at the end-of-the-year all-school community meeting at Interlochen Arts Academy. In 2016, Gracie auditioned and was selected to attend The Appomattox Regional Governors school for the arts & technology (ARGS) as a high school Musical Theatre major. At ARGS, she was the only freshman cast in the fall main-stage production of Smile the Musical. She was later cast as a lead by a guest director for the spring 2017 main-stage production of Eurydice.
