Constantin Gerhard Maximilian Weber was born in Regensburg, Germany, to Ursula Weber (Stollenwerk), an art historian, and Jürgen Weber, a physicist and software engineer. At four, his parents adopted his brother Alexander (Philippines), two years younger, and at seven, his sister Anna (Thailand), five years younger. After primary school in Regenstauf, he attended the Werner-von-Siemens-Gymnasium in Regensburg. Because of severe pneumonia that lasted several months, he had to repeat the 6th grade. In 2003, he graduated from the W-v-S-G with the Abitur. He enrolled at the University of Regensburg in the following winter semester 2003/04 to study Classical Archaeology and Philosophy. Only two weeks into his studies, he dropped out again. During the rest of the semesters, he concentrated on his application to the Munich Film Academy and all the books in the university library related to screenwriting. He also started an internship at the production company PEAK 15 in Regensburg. After being rejected by the film school in Munich, he enrolled in sociology, education and gender studies at the university in Regensburg. Alongside his studies, he worked on various film and television productions as a production assistant, lighting assistant, and sound assistant. After graduating, he completed a six-month internship at the TV station afk-TV in Munich to write, film, and present programmes as a TV journalist. In December 2005, the family lost Ursula Weber after a short, serious illness due to an incurable brain tumour. To cope with the resulting circumstances, he put filmmaking on hold and took a job as editor-in-chief at a magazine in Regensburg. Still, after two years, he could no longer turn his back on his passion, quit his job and started working at the University of Regensburg as head of the media studio. Since then, he has been exploring themes of family, identity and loss in the genres of magical realism and fantastic comedy.
