Rodel Belafonte Stephan Brown was born and raised in The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago into a middle class family. During the school season, Rodel lived in the town of San-Juan, Trinidad and Tobago. Every Summer Rodel's mother would take Rodel and his sister to another home that she also occupies in the town of Arima Trinidad and Tobago. Rodel's father Carl K. Brown worked as a fireman and his mother Pamela Scott Brown worked as a technical officer for TSTT aka Telecommunication Services of Trinidad and Tobago. Rodel along with his younger sister Rayanca were both raised by their mother, Grandmother, uncle, aunt, and great aunt. Rodel also grew up with a few of his cousins as well in the same home. Rodel and his sister Rayanca never permanently lived with their father. At the age of 7 until the age of 12, Rodel attended Rosary Boys Roman Catholic School it was at this school where he discovered his passion for writing screenplays, directing films and writing poetry. Rodel would write screenplays and have his cousins and friends act in them. Rodel is a huge collector of action figures, he still collects them to this very day. As a young child, Rodel would use his action figures to make movies as well. He would create sets and scenes for his action figures and record them on a VHS video camera. On July 3 1995 at the age of 18, Rodel came to America to further his knowledge in the art of writing and filmmaking. Rodel moved in with his aunt in West Philadelphia, and her family. In 2000 Rodel created the independent film company AU7 Films aka Accents United 7 Films. Rodel wrote his first script "Peace of Mind" in 2006. Rodel currently has written 9 short scripts and 2 feature length scripts. He is currently in the preproduction stage of his first two short films "Twist of Fate" and "Peace of Mind".
