David Samson was born in Phoenix, Arizona to Cathy Cox and John Samson. David is the first person in his family to be born in America, as his father is from England and his mother is from Australia. While growing up, David found a love for acting at the early age of 7 years old. He started taking acting lessons around that time at StarMaker and John Robert Powers in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was also involved in many competitive sports (basketball, football, soccer, ping-pong). David decided to go to a performing arts high school to develop his craft and discover new passions and skills like singing, guitar, and piano. While he continued studying in high school, he would be constantly performing in multiple musicals/plays in professional/community theatre all over the state. After graduating high school, David decided to study at the "American Musical and Dramatic Academy" in Los Angeles and New York where he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting in early 2019. David has lived in Los Angeles ever since and has appeared in several films and television shows. He was most recently seen in Christopher Nolan's "Tenet" as The Flashback Soldier that gets killed by the younger version of Kenneth Branagh's character. He also did some stunt work for the film. David has also won a few "Best Actor" awards for his performance in "Shadow Valley" (Now available on Amazon Prime) at the Los Angeles Film Awards, Oniros Film Festival - New York, and he got Honorable Mention: Best Actor at Top Shorts where he got second place to Kevin Bacon. David also just recently wrapped shooting the feature film "Crackigator" which will be released later this year (2021). David recently launched his production company, D21 Productions, this past year. He is currently finishing up production on the short film "More Than Meets the Eye" where he wrote, directed, and starred in the film (2021). David has fallen in love with directing and writing throughout the process of making this film and plans on submitting it to film festivals in the fall. With his new found love of directing and writing, this film will be the first of many to come. David is very happy to be residing in Los Angeles were he plans to continue to create more art and learn more about the craft every single day. Keep up with him by following him on all his socials!
