Lan Maika was born and grew up in Hanoi, Vietnam. As a child, Lan acted in films and TV series in her native Vietnam. After training in a theatre, she decided to move to England to further her studies at Giles Foreman Centre for Acting. She speaks English, French and Vietnamese. She is now based in London.
