Cynthia Triplett grew up in a small town near San Diego in Southern California, after moving from Washington state with her parents, John and Doris Triplett. Her father was a general physicist, and her mother became a registered nurse. Cynthia graduated from San Dieguito Union High School in Encinitas, California and went onto study at what is now known as Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon. She earned a bachelor's degree in Art, and a master's degree in Education. Cynthia taught Art to all ages of students in the Oregon and California public schools, and recently retired from school teaching (2018). As a last, creative contribution to her school, she taught Stagecraft to her high school students, and immersed herself in acting and technical theatre. Cynthia lives with her husband Ryan, a glider pilot and mechanic, in Warner Springs, northeast of San Diego, and located 2 1/2 hours from Los Angeles.
