Born in Baghdad as a Chaldean (Christian Iraqi), Weam Namou comes from a long lineage of Babylonian healers, wordsmiths, and book lovers. She was raised in America, she has traveled the world, wrote over a dozen books, and was taught the art of living and storytelling by amazing healers, authors, and filmmakers. An Eric Hoffer award-winning author, Namou is a journalist, a TV show host, and an ambassador for the Authors Guild of America [Detroit Chapter], the oldest and largest writing organization in the nation. She's also founder of The Path of Consciousness, a spiritual and writing conference and retreat, and Unique Voices in Films, a 501 (C)(3) nonprofit organization. Namou received her Bachelor's Degree from Wayne State University, studied novel and memoir writing through various years-long programs, poetry in Prague through the University of New Orleans, and film at the Motion Picture Institute of Michigan.
